We look over the once-active booming ground by the former pulpmill, hoping for a glimpse of "Luna" the Killer Whale. Luna, or Tsuxit, is believed, by the Mowachaht and Muchalaht First Nations, to embody the spirit of Chief Ambrose Maquinna, who died just days before the whale was first seen in the area.
